Schaeff, Betty Ann, age 88 of Dayton, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 28, 1929 in Dayton, the daughter of the late George & Florence (Brody) Creston. She was a Bookkeeper for Pyper Construction and was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband George H. Schaeff, her son Patrick G. Schaeff, her sister Mary Hadder, and by her son-in-law Bill Spinks. She is survived by her daughter Joanie Spinks, her son Tom Schaeff and wife Sandi,  4 grandchildren Jeff Schaeff (Melissa), Mike Krapf (Miranda), Nick Spinks (Brooke), Jenny Pottenger (Josh), 7 great grandchildren Gwyneth, Nicholas, Sophia, Jack, Jaiden, Reed & Holly, as well as numerous other family members and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 NOON on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Jennifer Burns officiating.  Burial will follow at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seals or Hospice of Dayton in her memory.
