Noble, Betty, J., of Bloomington, IL, assumed her place in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on February 18, 2016, surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky in 1943. She graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1961 before traveling the country and settling in Bloomington to raise her family. Betty loved her many jobs and retired from Country Financial in 2001. She was a loving mother, grandmother. Betty was a devoted Christian and believed in the parable of the Good Samaritan. She never knew a stranger and held out her hand to anyone in need. Betty was loved by many and will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Nettie and Elmer Noble. Betty is survived by her siblings Fran Noble of Colorado, Mary and Jerry Aufuldish of Miamisburg, Kenny and Maggie Noble of Bloomington, IL, Phil and Connie Noble of Missouri, and her children, David and Cindy New of Bloomington, IL, Tina Downs and partner Kyla Cushman of Champaign, IL, Robert and Mary Downs of Fresno, CA, her beloved granddaughter Briana Downs of Fresno, CA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Carle Hospice, 206 A West Anthony Drive, Urbana, IL 61801.
