Leiter, Barry John, age 69 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was born on January 24, 1949 in Dayton, the son of the late Lester John & Dolores M. (Newton) Leiter. Barry was a 1967 graduate of West Carrollton High School, he attended Wright State University studying in Political Science. Barry retired from the University of Dayton as the Director of Printing & Graphic Arts, and he was a Charter Member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his sister Anita Taylor. He is survived by his companion of 23 years Sondra Adams, his daughter Amanda Nolasco and husband Jeffrey, his son Jonathan Leiter, 2 sisters Lora Leiter-Cseh and husband Jerry, Ellen Rupert and husband Steve, brother-in-law Jeffrey Taylor, 4 grandchildren Katy, Colby, Kara & Caleb Nolasco, special friends Andy Creamer, Brandon McDonald & Shawn Goubeaux, his cat "Scoochie", as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
