Rice, Arlie F., age 95 of West Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. He was born February 27, 1918 in Conway, KY, the son of the late Arthur & Lillie (Ball) Rice. Arlie was retired from Frigidaire with 30 years of service, honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. during WWII and was a member of the MorningStar Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife Lillie M. Rice, 2 brothers Eugene & Wendell, and a sister Nadine Nunley. Survivors include his 2 sons Gregory D. Rice of West Carrollton, Gerald L. Rice & wife Teresa of SC, his daughter Ruth Proffit & husband Gary of KY, 2 sisters Amaleen Chasteen of Dayton, Emerine Hopkins of TN, 3 grandchildren Brian Proffit & wife Tiffani of KY, Michelle Nutter & husband Kevin of SC, Ryan Rice & wife Sherah of SC, 3 great grandchildren Eric Proffit & wife Lauren of CO, Lillie Nutter of SC, Naomi Rice of SC, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the MorningStar Baptist Church, 208 Nutt Rd., Centerville, OH 45458. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at the Rice Cemetery, Conway, KY.
