Anita Lynn (Carr) Brown, age 67 of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 11, 1959, in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Virginia Lee & Virgil Jay Carr.

Anita Lynn was a graduate of Southwestern High School, Class of 1980, and devoted 30 years to caring for others as a private caregiver. She treasured time spent with family and friends and enjoyed sewing, reading, crafting, crocheting, and especially quilting.

Preceded in death by her aunt and uncle Betty Jean & Jim Parker, her nephew Todd Carr, and by her sister Cathy Carr.

She is survived by her loving daughter Kelly Whisman and treasured son-in-law Tank, her twin sister Sandra Sue “Susie” Carr, her 2 brothers Justin Carr and Donald Carr, her Uncle Michael Ingram, her “fur babies” Judd, Stitch and Peanut, as well as numerous other family members and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Mr. JR Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

(1 hour prior to services) at the funeral home on Monday.
