Leiwig, Alvin J., age 84 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by his family at the Garden Manor Extended Care Center.

He was born on May 18, 1934 in Germantown, Ohio the son of the late Clovis and Thelma (Taylor) Leiwig.

Mr. Leiwig honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a retired Manager for Kroger's.

Preceded in death by his wife Judith Ann Leiwig on December 10, 2017,  5 brothers Clovis Earl Leiwig, Jr., Carroll "Bud" Leiwig, Donnie Leiwig, Richard Leiwig, twin brother Gene Leiwig, and his sister Susie Allen.

He is survived by his children Justin Leiwig and wife Amy, Mindy Wilson and husband Steve Brenda Bradford and husband Howard,  Jimmy Paul and wife Sue, his sister Becky Vaughn, 8 grandchildren Luke, Tate, Jacob, Chris, Todd, Jodi, Matt & Chris, 5 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Rev. Joel Getts officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
