After retiring from General Motors, Charles spent time on several hobbies that included fixing bicycles for his grandchildren, growing vegetable gardens for the family, giving advice on how to fix things, whether it be a car, appliance, or simply how to “get- along.” He loved bluegrass music, jokes, watching a good Red’s game, cartoons, a good comedy or western, weather predictions, and most of all, he loved his wife, Louisa, and his entire family.
