Barbara E. Lykins

Lykins, Barbara E., age 67 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1951 in Tazewell, TN, the daughter of the late Lonnie & Ora (Ratliff) Bolden. Mrs. Lykins was an employee of Excelitas Technologies Corp. with 17 years of service and an active member of the Miamisburg Assembly of God. Preceded in death by 3 brothers Floyd, Buck, & Shelby, 6 sisters Marie, Martha, Edith, Hassie, Georgia & Vacie. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Hubert H. Lykins, Jr., 3 sons Shawn Owens (Julie), Will Reynolds (Amanda), Jimmy Lykins (Jenner), daughter Angie Lykins, 3 sisters Naomi Young (Edward), Nina Fox (Jimmy), Nellie Mullins (Roger), 8 grandchildren Codi Kugler (Kurt), Shawn Owens, Aleah Reynolds, Alana Reynolds, Taylor Lykins, Justin Lykins, Patty Haley & Michael Haley, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandson on the way. Barbara’s family was very important to her especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she will be forever remembered in the hearts of her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Miamisburg Assembly of God, 501 Ninth St., Miamisburg, OH with Pastor John Swint and Pastor Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service (2 hours prior) on Tuesday at the church.
