June W. Hunt

June W. Hunt, age 97 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Suites at Walnut Creek, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 12, 1926, in Orient, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph E. & Rose Etta (Nicely) Warren.

Mrs. Hunt was a 1944 graduate of Wilmington High School, volunteered with the 1980 Census Bureau, learned and practiced Tae Kwon Do, and had attended Memorial United Methodist Church in West Carrollton.

Preceded in death by her husband Noel R. “Dutch” Hunt on May 26, 1997, her daughter Virginia Ellen Hunt on May 27, 2001, her brother John E. Warren, and her 2 sisters Elizabeth Johnson and Dorothy Mathews of Wilmington, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving daughter Mariann Hunt, extended family Ruth (husband Roger) Kelly, Sandy (husband Guy) Ashmore, special friends Patti (husband Earl) Brewer, Felicia Dellis and Krista Kaiser, long-time friends Carol Kirby and Lorie Rusnick, and her fur baby “Carley.”

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Monday at the funeral home.
